low thyroid or low cortisol

hi val,

i've been stable for a little while, thankfully, but that seems to have changed.

a couple of weeks ago i dropped my hc from 30 to 27.5 and seemed fine. i

started to get really bad pms symptoms a week ago, and even with my period

almost ending, i still feel the same...very irritable, sad, sweats, headaches,

loss of appetite, nausea, tired, apathetic but still keep going...

the other day i had a light bulb go off in my head when i had high (for me) bp

and pulse. i remembered that i got a new brand of T3 and started mixing that in

with the other brand, so i thought i was hyperthyroid. so, two days ago i

dropped my T3 dose from 68.75 to 62.5. today, i am just super tired, sad, no

appetite, apathetic - almost all of the same symptoms.

what should i do?

the pharmacy switched me from generic to brand cytomel. and now that i think of

it, i had to add the same amount i just decreased when they switched me from

cytomel to generic several months ago. however, i'm not fully switched over yet

- just a couple of my doses are cytomel.

From most people thta have taken both the generic is reported weaker

than name brand. SO I would assume going to Cytomel from generic you

would need a tad less.

that's what i figured, which is why i dropped. but, i haven't seen my symptoms

change. what should i do? do they sound like hypoT to you or low cortisol? if

hypoT, do i just wait it out?

Give it a couple days. it takes time for excess T3 to be used up.
