Not crazy at all. Ther T4 is suppressing your TSH while failing to

convert to T3, This is the great fallacy of T4 only medication.

showing I am hypo? that is crazy!

The FT3 is the one that matters,

Yes

right?

Yep.

T3 only together with adrenal support if needed is the way for you to

go. You will need a ferritin test as well.

Lots of information on the web site at the end of this post

and Val, another question:A few months ago I raised my t4 med from 500 mcg a week to 800 mcg a week. That caused a lot of the symptoms to disappear and the t3 to go up. And although my adrenal are apperantly weak, my body handled the change very well and didn't have all the symptoms of low adrenal while raising thyroid. About a month later I tried to take compound t3 and all the symptoms of low adrenal were obvoius. Do you know how could it be that my adrenals seemed to do just fine with raising my t4 my med but didn't handle the new t3 med?Just trying to figur thing out...ThanksTo: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, April 20, 2010 12:11:12 PMSubject: interpitation of lab results

I am suppose to start treating my adrenals soon. In the meantime, would like you to have a look at those crazy lab results:TSH 0.21 (0.4-4)T3 FREE 1.5 (1.8-4.2)T4 FREE 1.8 (0.4-1.8)RT3 28 (9-35)How could it be that my TSH is so low showing hyper but my t3 is so low, showing I am hypo? that is crazy!Could it be tht the suppresed TSH is reflecting the high t4 and not the low t3?Well. it seems like my t4 med is turning in my body to rt3 and not to t3, right?

To add to Nick's reply, another thing I see wiht a very supressed TSH

and still low thyroid is lwo ferritin. You need to get a fuill iron

panel done, as low iron is another of the reasons you may not tolerate

T3 well.
