Guest guest
I work a 12 hour shift, generally two days on and two days off. My job keeps me on day shift which is a plus, but the 12 hour days are still hard on someone with thyroid/adrenal issues. Here is what I have noticed: On work days I am up at 6am and basal temps are usually 97.2-97.5. Although its hard to take my temperature at work since Geratherm thermometers take at least 3-5 minutes, I've been able to kind of keep track of temps. Even after 4-5 hours I am barely hitting 98F. By afternoon I am up to 98.2 and usually hold that or a little higher until evening. On days off I like to sleep in-I am not a morning person and can't remember a time in my life that I ever was. I may get up at 8 or 9am. My basal is usually slightly higher, maybe 97.6-97.8. Generally by afternoon I hit 98.6 or even 99. What's going on? Do I need more HC on work days? I take 1.5 grains dessicated, 20mg HC, and 120srT3. Just a side note, but I was taking 2.5 grains dessicated and felt worse than I do now-very shakey. Now I am a little shakey and feel tired, but not tired and wired like before. Also, does anyone know of any accurate thermometers that read in less than 3 minutes? Anyone try Lumiscope electronic thermometers? Thanks
