Hi. Darla from the Natural Thyroid yahoo group gave me your link.

Brief history: Diagnosed hypothyroid, hashi, goiter 8-1/2 years ago. Put on

112 mcg Synthroid during those years, never felt better (hypo symptoms) but

doctors wouldn't change anything, listen, etc. My T4 was mid-range normal, T3

low range normal during that time but still felt hypo.

Then a couple months ago, I found a new doc. He added 2 grains of compounded

Armour and kept me on the Synthroid until new labs were drawn. I had wanted off

Synthroid but he wanted to see what labs showed first. I have most of the lab

results (not all in yet). Here they are:

Free T3: 6.15 (2.32-6.09 range)

Free T4: 1.83 (0.09-2.35 range)

TSH: 0.3

Reverse T3: 53 (11-32 range)

Saturated Iron: 24 (20-55 range)

IBC: 353 (260-400 range)

Iron: 85 (37-170 range)

Vitamin D: 30 (25-80 range)

Don't have labs for antibodies for hashi, cortisol yet.

I was having chest pain and anxiety a few weeks ago until I changed the schedule

of my meds (divided up Synthroid into 2 doses instead of 1) and did ok for a

little while but the last few days I have been jittery and nauseous.

Based on these labs, I appear to have a RT3 problem? Reverse T3 is new to me so

I'm still learning what I can about it. My doc is away at a seminar and my appt

isn't for a couple weeks yet. Until then, I think I want to reduce or cut out

the Synthroid completely until I see him and stick to compounded armour until I

can talk to him about just T3 when he gets back or at my appointment.
