Guest guest
Are you taking an adrenal supplement that contains whole adrenal gland? If so it is giving you adrenaline which may be causing your symptoms. Also, DHEA lowers cortisol and the mods do not recommend it unless your adrenals are stable. Nor do they recommend iodine. Guest guest
I'm taking a dessicated that my Dr. had stocked up on when he saw the shortages coming. Its not armour. I assume from the ingredients I am getting the whole gland. Not sure what to do, my dr supports the " stopthethyroidmadness " , but he still has some ideas of his own. I am wondering if I should cut back on the cortef a little? My temps are somewhat stable, but I feel like my body is kicking in and out. Seems like temps are higher one day and lower the next. You'd think that taking all that whole adrenal plus the cortef would be enough. I am wondering if its too much? > > > > I am currently taking SRT3 120mg and 2 grains dessicated. I also take 30mg cortef. > > > > I feel anxious and appetite has went up. My usual muscle pain and weakness is a lot worse. I feel like I excercised hard, but haven't done anything. > > > > Dr. had me lower dessicated a bit because of TSH being suppressed. Mine was 0.016. By all standards I should feel good-Rt3 is a lot lower and FT3 was 400. I actually felt better last year on old armour with no cortisol. My free T3 was 380, but RT3 was upper range. > > > > Dr. has me taking a adrenal formula and I think it has contributed to current symptoms. Guest guest
No worries, From the adrenal group they talked about it and said most people didn't report having a good response. It is a precursor for many hormones. The big problem is you can't control what hormone it gets converted to. Better to just take the hormones that are low. I know there is more info about it but am not really sure. I can look into more for you if you like Or just start doing some google searches on how it works. I just know the girls don't like it Kitty To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, March 30, 2010 5:41:18 PMSubject: Re: Re: unresolved issues/questions... Guest guest
Thanks Kitty! I will do some research. That is interesting and a little concerning that this hormone may not go where you need it.....I can see why it may not be a good choice. I also think I am going to bring these issues up to my doctor. I have finally gotten my Rt3 under control, lost 23# and I am not going to go backward; I just been through too much. I do not want to rock the boat. I feel really good right now. Just need to bring my FT3 down a bit but feel really good right now. Again, Thank you Kitty.Venizia From: kitty Haindl <cubblebubble@ yahoo.com>Subject: Re: Re: unresolved issues/questions. ..To: RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) comDate: Tuesday, March 30, 2010, 3:34 PM You really don't want a whole gland supplement.
