Hi Judy!  Thank you for the kudos on getting healthy again.  One last thing I

need to add, and is something I didn't count on, was the return of a healthy

mental outlook. This was achieved, unknowingly by me, when I had to take in my

95 yr. old mom with Alzheimers while battling Scleroderma.  By having someone

to care for, the focus on myself got switched to focusing on caring for someone

else.  I became too busy with her to have my private pity party and by doing

so, I began to heal faster.  Volunteers and caregivers receive so much more in

giving.  There is something that promotes healing when you actively give of

yourself to another person or cause.  Giving is the greatest gift you can give

of yourself. and to yourself.  I don't know about others, but I know that the

moment, Mike and I became volunteers and then full time caregivers, we received

something spectacular that we cannot explain. And this changed our enire

lives.  Toss this

around and see if others have had this same experience.  (The odd thing is

that I resented my mom all of my life for giving me away when I was an

infant.)  In my mind, I have not forgiven her, but care for her only because

she has no memory and is helpless like a child. I am her only living relative.

At this stage, I cannot change the past and I cannot hold her responsible any

longer. Go, figure! Unexplainable! Thank you, Dolores & Mike. .

This is sort of a spin-off of my previous post.

What supplements do you take and why are they necessary?

There for a while I was taking so many pills that it was overwhelming, so

I started slacking off on taking them at all. I would like to see if I can

cut back on what I take to the things that are necessary and skip the rest.

Thanks!
