Guest guest
Yesterday avo I needed to get a tetanus shot (dog bite..lol) so of course went to see my GP (think you call them PCP's??) anyway, this is my own doctor not the one who is treating me with AP. On to the story with a bit of background: My Dr was extremely anti & sceptical about me trying AP, but back in the beginning showed some thoughtfulness & asked if he could monitor my progress .. of course I agreed. Every time I had seen my AP Doc I made an appt to bring him up to date & gave him copies of all the blood test results. When he was getting the injection ready we were talking & he mentioned I looked really well, I told him I was still asymptomatic (not remission but absolutely no symptoms) the eyebrows shot up & I realised he was impressed,, he asked if I had a minute -- of course I said yes & sat down. He gave me the shot then floored me by asking me what meds I was taking, what quantity & how often (that's a first for him) & then said ,, if this is the result I am more than impressed, I hope whomever is prescribing the meds & monitoring you is involved in the research! He also said he had finally read all the information in the physician's pack I had given him (way back in the beginning) from the RB website. He apologised for doubting my intent & said he was really pleased for me I had insisted on not going down the traditional medicine route. That was a WOW moment !!! I always knew there was a good reason I liked him as a doctor, he is honest, has time for his patients & only wants the best outcome for them. This is a huge step forward into just maybe him coming on board as another AP dr.
