I have now been on T3 only for 10 wks. If temperatures are stable then these symptoms may be Hypo. 40 of T3 is not much for the time you've been on it, " most people " would be needing 75 to 125 by then, Have you tried an increase, do you get any adverse effects/? Guest guest
I would definitely push the T3 a bit higher as you NEED good temps but maybe just to 50mcg in the next couple weeks and see what your temps etc, do when you hit 12-13 weeks. Phone consults have run from 5 minutes (rarely!) to over an hour, the best way to get th most for the call is to make a list of questions beforehand and send me labs and med history by email first. That way we don't; waste time going over history and I have it in front of me during the call. If you set the time for 15 minutes and you want to talk more, they will ask me to hold while they ask you if you wish to add more money, if we finish before your set tie is up they will either credit you the over payment or carry the balance forward for future calls with me or any advisor so you son;t have to know exactly how much time you need to set an appointment. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
OK, thnx. Do you think an increase of 5 mcg is good for this wk & if so, where should I add it in? I have the 5 mcg tablets. Also, do you think I should go to 30 mg HC? I was there previously & dropped down to 25 mg after doc felt that was what I needed. It seems as if the T3 is burning thru the HC mighty quick. If I do go to 30 mg HC, what kind of dosing do you suggest? Guest guest
Thnx Nick. I have been raising slowly as I am super sensitive to meds. Took me a LONG time to be able to get to the 40 mcg T3! Is the highest I have ever gotten. I will try a 5 mcg increase. Where do you or Val suggest I add it in? C. > > > > >Have been feeling itchy today quite a bit. Guest guest
OK, thnx Val. When I do increase the T3, my temps always go wacky! I will try 30 mg in that dosing schedule & see how I feel. Where do you suggest I add in the next increase of T3 & how much? Guest guest
Right now I am doing 10 mcg of T3 4 x a day. So do you suggest I go to 15 mcg in am/1st dose & then 10 mcg remaining 3 doses? How soon should I increase to 50 mcg...say after 5 days or so? Thnx. Guest guest
OK, thnx. Just to make sure I got it bc the brain fog is mighty thick today...add 5 mcg to my 1st dose & then in 5 days add 5 mcg to my 3rd dose, right? To which dose would I add the next increase..the 2nd or the 4th? BTW, I did the 30 mg of HC today & I feel much better w that. Now I just need to get doc to increase rx from 25 to 30. Doc won't increase my T3 rx from 25 mcg so I am back to finding another doc. He feels I need T4...hell no! Said my FT4 is too low. Told him that was bc I was on T3 only! What a moron. Ugh. Do you know of any sources that carry brand name Cytomel? The generic just does not agree w me. Have you ever seen edema in feet/legs getting better w/ T3 raises? Thnx again. Guest guest
Thnx Val. I appreciate it. I will check out the Cynomel. Do you think increasing by 5 mcg every 5 days is good schedule? > > To which dose would I add the next increase..the 2nd or the 4th? > > Second. > > None of our sources have brand name Cytomel, but Cynomel from Mexico is almost the same thing wiht possibly a bit higher strength. The generic of Cytomel in the USA is nto getting a good reputation, though I have not tried it I have not heard too many people that liekd it. > > -- > > http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://faqhelp.webs.com/ > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ >
