Guest guest
Hi, Cooky! Well, I stopped it for a couple of reasons. First, I felt great, and really didn't think I needed it any more. My AP doc was totally fine with getting rid of it, and I guess I hoped my AP therapy was far enough along to have the fibro in remission, too. Second, I really didn't care much about anything. Now, I loved the evening out of my temperament, but I could be pretty apathetic! LOL Finally, YES, I was gaining weight at a frightening rate. I am a small person, and after my last baby, I had about 35 pounds to lose. Now, I'm up to 75 pounds above my maximum healthy weight! Since I have been eating right all summer, and exercising/ working outside like crazy and continuing to gain weight steadily, I decided enough was enough! I am curious about Cymbalta. Anything that helps with weight loss would be a definite plus! I'll have to look into it. Believe me, after all of the withdrawal side effects I've suffered the past week, I'll be looking at that issue pretty closely! Still, I don't want my exercise regimen or diet screwed up by a fibro flare up. Thanks, again, for the tip! Blessings! Weight gain?? If so Cymbalta actually helped me loose weight and effexor made me gain also. Cymbalta also take the fibro pain away. I stopped cymbalta because I thot it made me mentally worse but I restarted when I found something else was causing my problems. It definitely makes me feel better fibro wise. Off it I am so sore all over and I am on Minocin. Mino put my RA in remission and stopped some of the fibro but I still get achy more days than not when I am not on cymbalta. I take Ultram for my achiness but it doesn't always work. I just exercise on good days. Good luck. cooky
Guest guest
Another thing that does not put on weight but it doesn't help with fibro is Lexapro. That is what I take now. With the cymbalta.if you are small.start with less than the 15 mgms. Just take out the pellets. Add to 30 very slowly and if you don't need it don't go higher. Also you can loose on cymbalta but it is not a diet pill so don't expect that. You have to work to loose. I now take hoodia and it works. On cymbalta you will not have that " not care feeling " I hated that on Effexor but needed it at first 6 years ago. Good luck. cooky _____ From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of Brett & Terri Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2008 9:26 PM rheumatic Subject: RE: rheumatic fibro question-Cooky Hi, Cooky!
