Guest guest
Hi Val, Nick and the group! Correct me if I'm wrong: If you take RT3 test and you think the FT3-test is a standard FT3-test and can be taken from a different lab, then the ratio is not going to be correct because the standard FT3-test doesn't deduct the RT3-part from it. I found out that even the medical center I use has done this for two years without understanding this problem. They have sent tubes to Genova Diagnostics for RT3-test and processed the FT3 in their own lab which obviously can't separate RT3, that's why they use GD. They admitted their ignorance and promised to correct this. Question: Couldn't the real FT3 number be counted by subtracting RT3 from standard T3?
