Guest guest
Hi Phil, Welcome to the site. I get my doxy at CVS also. I don't know what state you are in, but Publix here in Fl. is giving it away free. You must have a prescription from a doc and they only give you 2 weeks worth at a time. But you can get as many refills as you want. How long have you been sick and what is your diagnosis. Is Doxy the only antibiotic you take? Glad the generic is working. I will have to look at my bottle to see who the manufacturer is. Hope to hear from you soon. Dolores & Mike From: Phil Calvert <pcalvert@...> Subject: rheumatic Generic doxycycline that works rheumatic Date: Friday, June 19, 2009, 5:39 AM Hi, I am new here and would like to know what brands of generic doxycycline that people have found to be effective. I am currently taking generic doxycycline hyclate manufactured by West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corp. I get them at CVS/pharmacy. They seem to work, but I don't know how they compare with brand-name versions like Doryx or Vibramycin since I haven't taken those. I think I definitely experienced a Herxheimer reaction when I first started taking this generic doxycycline. I had a mild, but almost constant headache and really felt like crap, and started having second thoughts about whether taking this stuff was such a good idea. Fortunately, I gradually began to feel better and better. Anyway, I hope this info is helpful for someone. If you are currently taking generic doxycycline and it seems to be working for you, please let us know who makes it and where you buy it. That way, others can (hopefully) benefit from the information. Phil
