It is a heridtary dissease and taking iron doe snto cause it, As long as oyu ar testing your levels eveyr couple of months the chcanmce of of=verdosing oin iron are between slim and none. I have never in all the years I have moderated thyroid groups heard of anyone wiht ANY problems excepot stomahc issues and constipation from iron.
