i have been dealing with this since my explant and it has continued to get worse and worse

been on ambien for 3 weeks, but do not want to stay on...

insomnia for me (one reason) can come about due to food allergies - esp. something sweet.

I had the worst insomnia in the world, or very

near that.

Then one day I read about the Silva method

and this was about 3 years ago, and........I have

no problem ever going to sleep. I am up alot

during the night cuz of the CHF, but I fall

back to sleep quickly.

Meditation, and going to alpha level which is

the level just before sleep.......and I am gone !

Better than any pill.....( my experience )

It is worth checking out.......I use it often.....

Hi Dede,

Thanks so much for your reply. I will look into it. Sounds too good to be true.

In the meantime I am going to see a doctor. I believe that the long term

silicone leakage has caused nerve damage. It feels like inflamed nerve endings.

There is no sleeping when this gets out of control. I am going to have to get on

a medication and use it only when I get this and continue to try to heal

holistically.

Hi all-I just couldn't help myself and sharing a newsletter that talked about insomnia as I suffered from that for many years on and off. i just copied the info part you may be interested in and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.So

many people underestimate the power of a good night's sleep!To name a few of insomnia causes:Psychological -Anxiety -Stress -Depression Physical -Hormonal changes in women. -Decreased melatonin

-Medical conditions; allergies, arthritis, asthma, heart

disease, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, Parkinson's disease etc.

-ToxinsThis tells us that there is an imbalance with your body, creating

this to happen, it does not have to cost a lot of money. That is the

impressive part to me as you can go health food store poor, too. Good

News, here is a couple very simple ideas, to help you sleep. One is

free, and the other method is nickels.Need some sleep?-Right at your feet

Are you lacking some sleep, these are 2 extremely effective helpers one will not even have a cost.Give this a try first! Method 1-Take

your shoes off and step on the earths natural ground, try it for

several minutes or longer. What happens is the earth natural electricity

gets cut off from our rubber sole shoes. Method 2-CELERY JUICE....One

Hi everyone,

Just an FYI about something miraculous that I just love to help you fall

asleep at night. I have been doing it and I am amazed. Just say to yourself

2 words like sleep and dream over and over. You can use any other 2 words

you want as long as they are not excitement words. Your brain will get tired

of listening to the same words and shut down for the nite! This is amazing!

Let me know if it works for anyone.

Melatonin was an absolute life-saver for us. Without it Danny would just lay in

bed reciting the alphabet for hours on end, and Kenny was just a wreck refusing

to go to bed etc. Every night was a stressful train wreck despite a consistent

routine and doing all the right things, etc.

I think with melatonin that either you need it and it works, or you don't need

it and it doesn't. The effect is pretty obvious. There is no sense of drugging

the kid, the kid simply doesn't make enough for their internal clock to work

right.

We saw no side effects, expect that at higher doses I've heard that it can cause

nightmares. We actually only give 1/2 mg. but they say 1-3 is fine. 3 mg

worked worse for us, so if it isn't working I wouldn't recommend an increase.

I think the concern is that long term by supplementing melatonin the body thinks

it doesn't need to make any and you end up needing it forever I guess.

I posed this questions to a Beth Malow, who is doing an on-going study at

Vanderbilt with melatonin in kids with ASD and sleep problems and she had this

to said (although maybe she wouldn't be happy about me quoting her personal

email-but hey we're all friends here right?)

" Over time, kids can come off of it sometimes—it seems to get their sleep-wake

rhythms in sync. But sometimes they need it and I don't worry about continuing

it as there aren't may side effects. "
