Thsi on Natural thyroid shows he is converting well but not USING T3 well. It is pooling. Usually lwo cortisol is behind this. Testosterone, Serum 583 280-800 Free 9.7 7.2-24.0 Estradiol 37 7.6 - 42.6 Total test is good but free is low which indicated BINDING which mosty like is a combo oif high FT3 and HIGH estrogen. Usually lwo cortisol causes high estrogen levels,. sodium 138 135- 145 Potassium 4.3 3.5-6.2 Potassium is great sodium needs to come up I perefer to see ti 142-144 TIBC 289 260-450 UIBC 188 150-375 Iron, serum 101 40-155 saturation 35 15-55 Ferritin 31 22-322 Conflicting info here! HIs TIBC nad UIBC (these are iron binding capacities are lwo indicaitng good iron levels. BUT serum iron could come up and his saturation is barely hwer it needs to be 35 is the minimum thta is acceptable aand his ferritin si VERY low which is totally strange for these labs. (Where should all these values be, Val? I'm getting my iron panel results in a few days) RBC 6.47 4.10-5.60 Hemoglobin 19.2 12.5-17.0 Hematocrit 57.9 36.0 -50.0 Monocytes 14 4 -13 Here is a page about Hemoglobin being too high http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/high-hemoglobin-count/MY00112/DSECTION=causes And Hematocrit being too high usually indicate dehydration which also goes with lwo sodium. Guest guest
Is his estradiol level higher than it should be? And is taking iron a problem with cancer? He needed transfusions because he got so anemic before he had a tumor in his colon removed. I'm hoping that problem is really cleared up. Wouldn't his iron labs be worse if he were losing blood again? Thanks again.
