Guest guest
If your temperatures are stable (doesn't matter if they are 96, 97, or even low 98's) within .2 degrees for 5 days, then your adrenals are happy and being supported well. So then you can start out with T3, but start with a small dose. At first your temps might be off, but hold that dose for 5 days, if temps stabilize, then you can add more. Most people on here, from what I read, seem to feel more hypo at first. It will take awhile until you find the right dose/clear your RT3 problem. GOOD LUCK!Terri From: billytk03z Sent: Friday, April 23, 2010 1:31 PM To: RT3_T3 Subject: Do I have to get my body temperature stable in the 98's b4 starting T3 for rt3? My body temps are always between 96.8 to 97.8 I suffered from fatigue, depression, hypoglycemia, etc... until I started HC at 20mgs per day (10mg am, 5mg noon, 5mg evening)... My hypoglycemia problems seemed to vanish, fatigue seemed to improve and I felt not so depressed... Even tho I started to feel better my body temps still remain unchanged and low... then I added T3 and I seemed to take a step backwards as far as energy/fatigue is concerned...Im wondering if I added T3 too soon and if I should drop back to straight HC until my temps hit 98 or higher....? Were you on anything for thyroid before adding T3? Did your temperatures stay stable?? How were you dosing the T3? T3 " uses up " cortisol getting into the cells and you may need an HC increase to cope with it. A temperature drop 30 mins to an hour after taking a T3 dose shows that is happening Taking the same amount of T3 but in more smaller doses can reduce the " peak loading " requirements of the HC and stop that happening Nick
