Test Results- RT3, Ferritin

Hi All,

I switched to a new doctor. He was okay on RT3 protocol but wanted to see lab

numbers. Here are the test results on week 9 and 87.5mcg T3. I'm also on 27.5mg

HC and supplementing 130mg iron. I stopped iron for 7 days before test. I take

~1tsp of sea salt when I remember. I did not supp salt for 3 days before test.

Sodium 140 (135-145 mmol/L)

Potassium 4.4 (3.5-5.2 mmol/L)

Chloride 107 (97-108 mmol/L)

CO2 22 (20-32 mmol/L)

Iron,Serum 94 (35-155 ug/dL)

Ferritin, Serum 80 (10-291 mg/mL)

T4, Total <0.7 (4.5-12.0 ug/dL) LOW

T3, Free 7.4 (2.0-4.4 pg/mL) HIGH

T3, Reverse <17 (90-350 pg/mL) LOW

Should I reduce how much iron I'm supplementing? My ferritin was 54 at

thanksgiving. Should I be close to clearing Reverse T3 with these labs? I'm

still feeling rather hypo with 100 mcg T3. Any comments on the electrolytes?

I would continue to hold right wher you are for the pother 3-4 weeks

till Rt3 clears the receptors. The iron you migh tcut the dose but not

strop it entirely as your serum iron is NOT high so maybe go to abotu

50mg daily.
