Guest guest
Ask for the records IN WRITING. They've given me the runaround on the phone but sat up and paid attention when my registered letter arrived. Here in CT (and I believe most places) it is illegal for a doctor to withhold test results, yet they sometimes try. They will refuse on the basis of delivery method..won't fax them (because we can't be sure who will actually receive the fax! Patient privacy, you know!) That's OK, I'll pick them up in person. Law says can charge you 65 cents a page, but they can not legally withhold them. Here's a link to the law, it specifically refers to a written request. http://www.ct.gov/dph/cwp/view.asp?a=3121 & q=396154 & dphNav_GID=1821 & dphNav=| > > My most recent lab results are being held > hostage.
