Guest guest
Let me address some of the questions coming in: 1. A 50/50 at the support meeting would be a good idea, but we would have to have a volunteer to run it at the meetings. Any Volunteers? As far as having it at clinic, we would have to get permission from Dr. R. to do that. I am still waiting for his permission to use the MGB logo for T-shirts and hats. 2. Paige, your art work offer for the cookbook would be great. I'll contact you when I get the information kit from the company. 3. As far as asking Dr. R. to pick who gets the benefit of the fundraising, I don't think it's a good idea. I think he has enough to do, and we can worry about that when the time comes (with our committee). (Also, since he is the one being paid to do the surgeries, it may be a conflict of interest or something). Someone said we have to raise the money first, and that's what we need to concentrate on. I think we should go with my original idea of letting each person who needs funds, pick fundraisers and do things to help them make the money. Each person will have to get their family and friends involved in their own community, and we can back them up. 4. I have had contacts from other organizations today everything from candles to seeds to coupon books. We will be able to pick plenty of different fundraisers. 5. As far as the recipes in the cookbook, it would be great to have an MGB section in the book, but shouldn't we also include recipes that would interest other people to buy our cookbook too? Let's not limit ourselves to only selling to MGB patients, we can sell also to family, friends and community! :-) Keep the ideas coming! :-) GiftAngels ^j^
Guest guest
Hey . no reason to be ashamed... I personally do well with people but I don't do well with #'s and closed in rooms... for which I just resigned a nice job.... anyway... we all have talents.... everyone is different.... Now, I will be glad to help. I am still seeking insurance approval myself. i know that the common answer will be, WELL, if they WOULD JUST QUIT EATING... those of us who are in this boat know that this is an illness just like depression, alcohol, drugs, diabetes, or high blood pressure... the biggest hurdle is convincing the general public!
