Guest guest
Val....one more question. I have been on 25 mg a day hydrochlorothyazide for 10 years now for blood pressure. I am not 100% I need to be on it. Doesn't this leech potassium from your system? Could this becausing the R-t3 issue? I am willing to try not being on it, monitoring my blood pressue, of course. My cholestrol has gone down since I started t-3 and I think my high blood pressure is also linked. My blood pressue is fine on the medication, not sure how it would be without it. thanks! > > You rratio would be 7.79 whihc is not good as it needs ot be 10 or higher. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
Guest guest
Val, The Hydrochlorthyzide I am on is alone. I had a lot of blood work done in Feb. My potassium level was 3.5 (3.5-5.2). Sounds like I could start slowly tapering off, but should add potassuim and try to get it up to the high end of the range. To taper, should I cut them in half for a week, then in fourths? What do you suggest? What dose of potassium? Any special kind? I am assuming it is sold as a supplement in the US. Thanks! > > I do take calls throiugh a service called Ingenio, it is the ONLY way I > can as it is done by appointment and keep s my number private, ther eis > a link on th ehome page for this group to set up a call.
