Guest guest
You might also want to try Anticid- a derivative of marshmallow root which when chewed up and swallowed accelerates mucosal healing of the entire GI tract Bruce H. I tried Forever Living, but I think the citric acid in it causes her to become hyper and red-faced. I have heard that unpasteurized is better, but can't bring myself to give her anything unpasteurized- I have one by Herbal Force. Guest guest
Is this prescription or supplement? I did a quick web search & couldn't find it. Didn't see it in my drug book either. Where would I get this? C. [ ] aloe vera My daughter w/ autism has GERD and has occasional flare-ups of esophagitis. Can anyone recommend a good brand of aloe vera? Guest guest
We used to use 's brand Aloe Vera. It does not contain the citric acid my son used to react to as well and the taste is much better than most. Gaylen
Guest guest
's is hard to find but two health food stores in my area sell it. You might try doing a websearch for the company to see if they have a list of stores that sell it. Gaylen

Guest guest
> Can you give me a web address for this product?? Aloe vera is very helpful for us, so I did some research. Carrington labs make a pharmaceutical grade freeze-dried powder. (the jar called Manapol Pro is " just " aloe vera) << here are two sources: http://www.carringtonlabs.com/ (they don't show it on their website, but you can buy it by phone) http://www.betterlife.com/brand.asp?brand_id=159 Manapol pro (or the manapol with nothing added) is also used in Ambrotose, along with lots of arabinogalactin and some other glyconutrients. http://www.mannatech.com/ Margaret __________________________________________________
Guest guest
there's been some talk lately on this list of using aloe vera for healing the stomach. has anyone heard this before: Aloe Vera - contains mucilaginous polysaccharides as well as increasing the release of tumor necrosis factor which is associated with IBD inflammation and increased immune stimulation taken from : http://www.gapsdiet.com/The_Diet.html a doc i just consulted told me that aloe vera interferes with healing the gut and is therefore inadvisable when leaky gut is an issue. i have noticed it helps my stomach but my RA is flaring lately. attributed that to stopping anti-inflamm but perhaps aloe vera is not helping. maybe i 'll try cabbage juice instead? monique
Guest guest
Hi ; Cabbage juice is great stuff but eating the whole cabbage is better as it has lots of fiber and scrubs out the gut.but nothing more than that.To have it help your problem it needs to be fermented.Hope you like saurkraut. Guest guest
At the recommendation of a couple autism mom friends on Facebook, I am using 's Aloe. The nice thing about it is that it is not bitter and truly has no taste (unlike *some* of the things I have to give). I started with 1tsp/day and have worked up to 1Tbsp/day so far. The dose for kids is 1tsp-2oz/day depending on age (it's on the bottle). Some give in the morning in juice/tea. I was giving at dinner but then switched to bedtime (with Vit D and CLO) when someone mentioned it'd help with night waking (big problem here). Guest guest
Another vote for 's Aloe. Be careful of any other type of aloe vera juice for internal juice. If certain irritants are not removed, aloe vera juice can do more harm than good. 's Aloe removes the substances that are gut irritants. If you use it, don't be deceived by it looking and tasting like water. Go low and slow with it. It is actually very powerful. > > > > Hi, It seems that many people are using aloe vera to heal the gut. Guest guest
What kinds of things should I look for as harmful? None of the health food stores here carry 's Aloe Juice. I started giving some that has berry juice in it about 2 weeks ago; only 1 tsp. a day. It shows citric acid and sodium benzoate as the last two ingredients. My son has had tremendous digestive issues having to have colonoscopies or endoscopies every 6 months to a year. He no longer needs the prevacid or the antispasmatic. His appetite has nearly doubled. I interpreted these as good signs, but definitely don't want to wake up one day and I have harmed him more. D.
