Guest guest
, has your doctor ever had you wear a Holter Monitor? It's a monitor you wear as you go about your day, it tracks your heart activity around the clock. Sometimes it can provide an answer to heart issues that nothing else will. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holter_monitor > > Just got a bad case of arrhythmia, like my heart stopped, the it was painful, like I couldnt brreathe, then irregular heartbneat, slow, not very fast, I called 911 just now.WHAT CAN THIS BE????? Guest guest
I wore the 24 hour holter monitor 3 times. Once in like 1995 when I was in my teens, severely overweight, and had no Hypo diagnosis nor meds and with tachycardia (250 bpm) attacks almost every night for 2 minutes every night, of course that one night with the monitor I didn't get the attack! Then once again in like 2000. Nothing was registered. And once in 2008. I even wore a 5-day thing. Nothing registered. The thing is: We can't choose when stuff will appear! So for me, the right thing would be to wear something permanently and push a button when I want it to record what's happening IN THE MOMENT!Thanks for your advice though! :-)Subject: Re: ARRHYTHMIATo: RT3_T3 Date: Sunday, March 14, 2010, 2:12 PM Â , has your doctor ever had you wear a Holter Monitor? Guest guest
, My PCP and then my cardiologist, both had me wear one for a month. The one my PCP gave me was attached and I put on new pads each day to reattach it after a shower. The one my cardiologist gave me was one that I would just hold up to my heart when I would feel something "off". They did catch a few little things over the course of 2 months total, but nothing dangerous.
