, has your doctor ever had you wear a Holter Monitor? It's a monitor you

wear as you go about your day, it tracks your heart activity around the clock.

Sometimes it can provide an answer to heart issues that nothing else will.

I wore the 24 hour holter monitor 3 times. Once in like 1995 when I was in my teens, severely overweight, and had no Hypo diagnosis nor meds and with tachycardia (250 bpm) attacks almost every night for 2 minutes every night, of course that one night with the monitor I didn't get the attack! Then once again in like 2000. Nothing was registered. And once in 2008. I even wore a 5-day thing. Nothing registered. The thing is: We can't choose when stuff will appear! So for me, the right thing would be to wear something permanently and push a button when I want it to record what's happening IN THE MOMENT!Thanks for your advice though! :-)Subject: Re: ARRHYTHMIATo: RT3_T3 Date: Sunday, March 14, 2010, 2:12 PM

,

My PCP and then my cardiologist, both had me wear one for a month. The one my PCP gave me was attached and I put on new pads each day to reattach it after a shower. The one my cardiologist gave me was one that I would just hold up to my heart when I would feel something "off". They did catch a few little things over the course of 2 months total, but nothing dangerous.
