Excessive is somewhere above the point where you get a pulse over 100 and an elevated temperature at the same time. Start low and build slowly monitoring pulse and temperature and you won't ever get there Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
Classic thyrotoxicosis with T3 is not the same as the Thyrotozicosis you read abotu and th big differnce i sthis. In classic thyrotoxicosis caused by your own thyroid or T4 or natural thyrodi, ther eIS T4 present which takes weeks to bring the levels down. With T3 onyl it takes several days at most. AT any sign of thyrotoxicosis oyu back down the T3 and this takesd effect immediately, where as with a product with T4 ther is stil mor4 conversion comeing for weeks after. Thus thye must use meds such as beta blockers to not only control heart rate but also to block conversion of T4 to T3. In classic cases of thyrotoxicosis, the T4 is the long term damage and T3 is hard to reduce. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
I just started on this 3 days ago and my MD said if I get hyper symptoms immediately stop the meds and call her. I'm to go to er w/the bottle if bp is elevated more than 10 pt over my norm( I have mild htn) or my pulse is over 100. She said any crisis is easily controlled, med takes a few days to clear and they'd just want to monitor me and control heart pals etc w/ more meds. She also said it's unlikely at my dose of 2.5 mccg. Hope that helps > > This is what I was warned about yesterday when I saw my local GP, when I told him I would be starting T3, he said it was POISON to the system, and I would end up with it. > I told him that when I started taking the T3SR last month and got 'palpitations' and had to stop , he said 'well yes that's what it does to you'. > > He also called my Thyroid doctor a' quack' for putting me on it. > > I know I shouldn't have mentioned it too him but I only did because I was hoping to get an ECG done to check my heart before starting T3-SR again, which I didn't get done cause we mutually 'fired' each other. > > I " googled' it just to read about it and it does state it is a very life threatening situation 'if the T3 is in excessive amounts' of either body produced or supplemented. > > Can someone advise what would be classed as 'excessive', [i did read somewhere how much the normal body should produce but can't find that right now]. > > Has anyone run into this problem with taking T3? > Or do we never go that high to get into that situation? > > Thanks > Sandy >
