Guest guest
My ferritin was around 34 in August, 91 in November and 138 on Feb 1st. In August I started supplementing with 6 tabs daily of 29 mg elemental iron in a chelated iron tab (local store brand). When I started on T3 only in October I also ate one pound a week of grass-fed beef liver, usually for breakfast. Yeah, ugh. Quit that after the February lab. On Val's advice I now take one iron tab a day, sometimes two. I don't experience anxiety and didn't realize I had low ferritin symptoms until Val mentioned anxiety or AGITATION. I got agitated easily, upset at being kept waiting, or if someone didn't do what they said they would do. Once my ferritin got up there, I mellowed out and stopped getting riled. I also have weak adrenals, so tired, wired, shaky and fatigued--yup. Hard to know whether the weak adrenals or low ferritin caused which. I am trying to lower my HC dose a bit right now, so some of those symptoms are stronger, but I still wake up smiling with more T3 in my system.
