Guest guest
Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself and get any comments that anyone may have on my most recent labs. My name is . I am 42 years old, about 40 pounds overweight, and have been suffering from the usual fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, insominia, etc., etc. for about 5 years. In the past I have been treated with synthroid, levoxyl, and Armour with no success (have been off thyroid meds for 2 years). I have recently started treatment through Holtorf Medical Group and have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, chronic fatigue symdrome, and a sleep disorder. I am currently in my second week of time release T3 preparation, ramping up from 10mg last week, to 20mg this week, to a final dose before my next appointment of 37.5mg. I am also taking 5mg of cortisol and numerous supplements to combat the rest. I'd love to get everyone's thoughts on the numbers below. Everything is pre-T3 and cortisol EXCEPT for the ferritin, which was taken independently of all the others after 2 days of 10mg T3 and the cortisol. It was also taken unfasted, in the evening, the week after my period. I am particularly interested in the relationship between my ferritin level and the effectiveness of the T3 therapy. Thanks again for any comments. in LA Total Cholesterol: 186 (125-200) LDL: 96 (<130) HDL: 77 (>46) Triglycerides: 64 (<150) Fasting Glucose: 84 (65-99) Fasting Insulin: 9 (<17) A1c: 5.2 (<6%) Leptin Serum Level: 21.7 (4.1-25) Cortisol Total: 8.3 (1.8-13.6) Cortosol Free: 0.16 (0.04-0.45) ACTH: 8 (5-27) Aldosterone: 25 (<= 28) Renin: (Renin test not done) Sodium: 136 (135-146) Potassium: 3.8 (3.5-5.3) RBC Magnesium: 4.0 (4.0-6.4) Thyroid Peroxidase: <10 (<35) Antithyroglobulin Ab: <20 (<20) Iodine: 3 (>100) DHEA-S: 128 (25-220) TSH: 1.73 (0.40-4.50) Free T4: 1.2 (0.08-1.8) Free T3 : 278 (230-420) RT3: 329 (90-350) **Ferritin: 18 Iron total: 139 (40-175) Iron binding capacity: 420 (250-450) % saturation: 33% (15-50%) Vit.
