That might work, but if your goal is electrolyte and carb replacement, I would imagine that there are better (tastier) and more quickly absorbed options. One possibility is fresh organic juice (apple?) mixed with plenty of mineral water and a very small amount of sea salt. I mixed some up today with raw vinegar and honey (no ginger out of laziness, but I'm sure it would have been good, as would some fizzy water). It really DOES hit the spot and you can drink it down better than straight water, which I guess was the idea for those dehydrated hay-gatherers. -- Heidi S.
