Guest guest
Hi Since the interim results for the Penn State study for Crohn's was released, I have passed the press release on to friends who are Crohn's (and ulcerative colitis) sufferers. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2006-05/ps-psr052606.php They have found that with this in hand, their family physicians are generally very easily persuaded to let them try LDN. Guest guest
Regression accounts for <1% of DOCband cases. The older the child the less likely it would be to happen. The bump you are talking about comes up quite frequently on this board. It is usually a small pocket of fluid or a swollen lymph node. Either way, it will go away without any issues. Guest guest
I have taken 1000mg I.V. and 1250mg pills... It all depends on how bad your ms is..Mine was bad so I was given the Maxium dose for several days.Eventually your body gets use to it.. So I would think you have to increase yours... Try L.D.N... for me the m.s. medacations failed. Its LDN or nothing.. Take care --- In low dose naltrexone , " and Iselborn " <camjak@...> wrote: > > > > Hey group, > > I'm not doing well. What is your diet like? Have you eliminated wheat, gluten, dairy, yeast, soy, sugar from your diet. It can take 6 months or more to get gluten out of your system. LDN can activate underlying yeast, viruses and food allergies. Guest guest
The interesting thing about LDN is that when you start getting the sleep disturbances, you should be nearing threshold steady state. That is to say that there is enough drug in your system to affect a response, probably not enough to ellict the total response you want. Skip. ps I am accused of obfustication, the answer is that you should have enough to elicit a response within a couple of day.
Guest guest
Hi Tina, Everyone is different. My husband was a quick responder (the next day) and many take a few weeks. Some have taken up to 6 months before noticing a significant change. Most people seem to get the bladder frequency fairly quickly. If you would like a copy of the welcome e-mail for LDN please let me know. Thanks Aletha [low dose naltrexone] Question Can anyone tell me how long it takes for LDN to get in your system and start working? I know Copaxone takes 6 months for it to really get into your system. I just had an MRI and was informed I have more lesions. I want to get on LDN right away but was curious how long it takes?.... Guest guest
http://www.larrygc.com/mystory takes you to my early days thread on my ezboard. I was told the very first night I slept more peacefully than in a long long while. Noticed major changes Day 6, 9, 11... But others take varying days... gotta try it and see. Most people notice something early on. [low dose naltrexone] Question Can anyone tell me how long it takes for LDN to get in your system and start working? Guest guest
I found a source for you. See www.nogalesrx.com or call 1-866-334-8505. They don't list it but will order boxes of 28 tablets (50mg). I've always gone down there, but they do ship (I've never done that). It is sold as Revia. Guest guest
The advantage of nogalesrx.com is that they do not require a prescription and the cost is under $100 bucks for 28 tabs (so under 32 cents per dose based on a 4.5 mg daily dose). Jerry is correct in ordering domestically on-line if you have insurance and a prescription. Now if people got organized and formed a " buyers club " you could get the price down below 6 cents per dose on a large purchase, or perhaps even subsidize those who couldn't afford the medication. Guest guest
Hi Jerry, No taking 50 mg would not offer the same benefits as LDN. Here is part of a previous posting I did earlier. What what we see in LDN is that higher dosages do not offer better efficacy, but less. Why would that be? This is pretty compelling evidence that at low dosages we are blocking (acting as an antagonist to) the " mu " receptors preferentially over the " delta " receptors, as naltrexone has greater affinity to " mu " , but is certainly not " mu " specific. The lack of specificity is really seen in the higher dosages where the benefits seem to diminish rapidly. If you understand this, you can see why I'm so passionate about this model of action. It fits the observed dose response in LDN patients really well. It's more than just academic knowledge. With a good model, we can develop more efficient treatments and ask the correct research questions. > > > > > > > > > I read a post earlier today saying 50mg of Naltrexone was on > > > medsmex.com but I didn't see it when I looked.
