Guest guest
In my case I was adopted so I don't have any family info. My husband is Asperger's, his nieces son is severely autistic. I believe his dad was Asperger's as well as ODD. On my husbands side he has a niece that is also bipolar and several relatives where ADHD is present. My son is ADHD and ODD. The ADHD isn't bad any longer, but he argues with everything. I have found I just tell him and walk away and he does what I wanted him to do in the first place. He just has to argue. He is a good kid though and tries to help his sister even though he annoys her at the same time. Right now my daughter isn't doing too well. She is rocking more and more and now is refusing to make eye contact. She is the one that is bipolar. Right now she thinks that if people look in her eyes they could read her mind. I hope the meds kick in soon because she is really having problems. > > > > I have a daughter who is 27. While she was diagnosed 22 years ago as a high functioning moderate autistic, those who first meet her think she is Aspergers. My husband is also Aspergers. > > > > I know so many people who are autistic/Asperger' s that are also either bipolar or schizophrenic. Guest guest
My daughter has PDD NOS but behaves more like she has ASperger's. My son was diagnosed also with PDD NOD at 3 but it is hard to tell now at 5. My husband most likely has Asperger's and his mom also thinks she would have been diagnosed on the spectrum. I have Depression and at one time OCD, but I don't have the energy anymore for that. My father was an alcoholic. My mom was adopted so I don't have info on that side. > > > > > > I have a daughter who is 27. Guest guest
Hi Sandy, H pylori = leaky gut only if it becomes so big and goes untreated to the point it breaks through the intestinal wall. We all need some h pylori in our bodies and we all have it. It's only when it gets out of hand due to an unbalanced environment in the gut that it becomes a problem. Eating alkaline foods can help. I also read a recovery story about a woman who drank a glass of water every other hour for 3 days and cured herself of it. I had symptoms for 6 years (achey gut, bloating) but it wasn't until the 6th year that I experienced the brain symptoms (which is when I believe it broke through the intestinal lining). Guest guest
Hi a, You could still have an autoimmune disease with negative Rheumatoid and normal sed rate. The rheumatologist described it to me that many autoimmune diseases can still show normal on serum blood tests and may not show there for a while. I have had almost every blood test done as I have many different autoimmune symptoms. 19 vials of blood. There are countless tests that can be done like lymphocyte testing, ANA, and numerous others. Your symptoms would help point to what tests should be run. Best of luck, Michele > > IF YOU HAVE A NORMAL RHEUMATOID FACTOR AND SENDIMENTATION LEVEL, CAN > YOU STILL HAVE AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE? Guest guest
When you have a low to no immune system, your body is not fighting for you, so your tests would come out in normal ranges..... I had total organ shut down 5 years ago with dilated cardiomyopathy, double lower lobe pneumonia, and 2 liters of fluid on my lungs. No fever, normal white count, and a 6 ESR ( sed rate ) My body was too busy fighting breast implants and had nothing left to fight for me........... Dont let normal range tests fool you......keep a journal with everything you eat, and all your symptoms to include how you feel ( your emotional self.) Follow your gut instincts. Write down anything at all that is not YOUR normal..... When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. ~ Jimi Hendrix Re: QUESTION Hi a, You could still have an autoimmune disease with negative Rheumatoid and normal sed rate. Guest guest
Oh, yes, absolutely, 100% without a doubt they can. It would be apparent in immune system issues, such as joint pains, fatigue, and/or neurological issues, such as twitching, muscle weakness, pain, brain fog and memory issues, cognitive dysfunction, and/or hormonal issues, such as irregular or missed periods, hypothyroidism, panic attacks, anxiety, and lethargy and more. That is why so many women get sick from implants and yet have not made the connection, and doctors failing also to make the connection, due to the complexities of politics in medicine. (It's not politically correct to say that implants cause illness....even though they do.) Guest guest
wow, thank God for this site! I cancelled my consultation for implants. Now I am looking into fat transfer and trying to see if any of those supplements and topical creams are worth anything. Thank you! Guest guest
Hi, this is great news! You are a very smart cookie, dear lady! For what it's worth, there are some promising techniques out there regarding fat transfer, but check in the Japanese clinic in our links that is doing the safest, most effective method right now. I've heard from a few women that the use of herbs made a difference (one woman wrote on our group several years back that she went to a D cup with the use of herbs, and it took a gazillion pills, but it definitely boosted her figure.) However, I also want to state that I believe you no doubt are a woman of beauty just as you are....and there is great peace in learning to believe that and live it out. When we die, it's probably safe to say that we will be remembered for our relationships with people, and not our breasts. In any case, I wish you the very best, beautiful woman! Guest guest
GG, I do not know anyone personally that has been to this clinic. I only know about it from news articles. I trust the Japanese with medical intelligence, though. They've embraced the Gerson therapy for cancer treatment from what I understand, and that is something I've always hoped we would do in this country. Ah! The afterlife! One of my favorite subjects of study in the Bible....and I hope you will bear with me as I share a few thoughts here! My understanding is that we will have resurrected bodies of power. 1 Corinthians 15 has 23 verses that discuss " The Resurrection Body " (verses 35 through 58) and the splendor of the spiritual bodies we will have. It says (verse 49), " And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven. " And the word " changed " in verse 51 is the same Greek word used in Mark 9:2 and Luke 9: 29 when Jesus was transfigured before the disciples, in glorious splendor. Beth taught on this at her Living Proof Live event in Tucson in March. It's amazing to me to contemplate what Jesus has done for us by purchasing our redemption, and what we have waiting for us...we get to throw off these decaying earthly bodies that cause us so much grief, and put on new heavenly bodies of glorious splendor! That's pretty darned exciting to me! So, I welcome and wait for that new body in heaven. No more bodies for anyone that are old and frail or sickly, but bodies of power, strength and beauty, and ....... AGELESS. I don't care if I look 30 or 40 or 20, only that I get to be with the Lord in heaven for eternity. Oh, how I love the promises contained for us in God's Word!!!! Thanks for the thoughts GG!!! I'm smiling! Guest guest
i think, and from what i've heard about people who've been there, the afterllife is pretty much like it is here, only w/out the problems and illnesses. also, everyone's desires are fulfilled to the max, which is probably the hardest thing to imagine since here it is such a struggle to get what you want. also, there will be a time (1000 yrs) when Christ will reign on earth, and life will be different in some ways, but the same in others. i think i may see the afterlife a little different, but these are my beliefs from everything i've heard from people whove been there, and people who've studied about it. gg From: DGRAHAMA@...Date: Sun, 20 Jun 2010 22:45:00 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Question GG ~ In the afterlife, " things " like looks etc are not an issue, not in the least....and judgeing is not even in existance... everyone is in Love mode...... Guest guest
GG ~ I also say this from experience...I died in my front yard 3 years ago.....I was gone 9 min 58 seconds, according to my heart device report......I can remember going to the light and how wonderful it was......it is a trillion times what you could ever imagine in love energy.......and you feel it immediately.....in my journey there, I was slowly rotating clockwise, and looking up I could see the sky and clouds, and it was rotating counter clockwise, both very slowly, and as I neared the top, the light got bigger and brighter and the love energy multiplied......most incredible time I ever had, what a gift it was.......and I only got a small taste of what is to come....... Guest guest
My son was the same way...it took us months to teach him to stick his tongue out and he had only a few words, but lots of babble. at 32 months, I read The Late Talker and put him on Nordic Naturals 3 6 9 and in three days he just started saying words!! Mimicking me, which he would never do before. And stuffing his hands in his mouth and licking everything for weeks. I just think that the fish oil woke up his mouth!! Six months later I put him on NV and it really helped with articulations, word retrieval, potty training, sleeping, jumping, singing, dancing. It helped him more with issues that were in his entire body--not just his words. He still can't lick his lips and we are working on that Liralen > > My son is almost 26 months old.  He has been diagnosed with a speech delay, although everyone is now leaning toward a diagnosis of apraxia . . . he is unable to stick out his tongue, lick his lips, blow bubbles, rarely imitates verbally and is not talking.  I am strongly considering starting him on fish oils and Nutriiveda.  Have these products been shown to work under these circumstances? If so, what types and doses are recommended?  I have a call in to his pediatrician right now to get her input.  Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. > Thanks,Kim > >
Guest guest
My son Tanner fit the same description at your child's age, and he ended up being diagnosed with " oral apraxia " Here's some info on that http://www.cherab.org/information/speechlanguage/oralapraxia.html Here is some info on " soft signs " http://www.cherab.org/information/speechlanguage/parentfriendlysoftsigns.html and some basic info on apraxia in general http://www.cherabfoundation.org/2006/parent-friendly-signs-of-verbal-apraxia/ Fish oils which contain essential fatty acids has shown remarkable benefits in accelerating speech in our group for over a decade now. I have a " fish oils 101 " message posted to our fb page at http://www.apraxia.org page here http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=115029735601 & topic=7401 While fish oils have shown success in the majority- areas of speech, language, focus, sensory, motor planning the results are typically in a day to more often a few weeks and they work in probably somewhere around 80 percent of the time according to when Dr. Stordy gave a presentation at one of our conferences based on her research (she co authored the book The LCP Solution) On the other hand somehow the surges with nutriiveda appear to be across the board. The only children, teens or adults it's not working for would be those that got it and didn't use it for whatever reason. We are seeing in some cases mild surges, but in most cases dramatic surges far more often that we did with fish oils and in areas we never saw prior with the fish oils alone. Nutriiveda contains per serving all the essential amino acids which in research have been linked to neuro repair http://pursuitofresearch.org/science.html as well as all the daily nutrients needed all from whole food sources. I highly recommend both and as you can read right here http://pursuitofresearch.org/pursuit.html yes nutriiveda has been the ONLY thing outside of therapy that has helped with oral apraxia when my son wasn't engaged in conversation. For goodness sake Dr. Renai Jonas and I even tried some sort of electrodes hooked up to his face a few years ago to stimulate the nerve endings because one lame-o teacher assumed he didn't understand the work because when he sat at his desk listening he always had a " blank look on his face " (dah...oral apraxia lady!) And guess who had to TRY the electrodes on her face first just to show Tanner it was OK? Me!!! And no it wasn't funny...well maybe a little funny. When you first put that machine on it makes your face go all twitchy...it's used in therapy for nerve damage and it was a good thought to try by Renai who is awesome and out of the box. It did work for Tanner...but lasted temporary. So therapy helped him in learning how to move his face when he talked, but I was constantly reminding him " Tanner move your face when nobody is talking to you " And after awhile he was like " Mom! Stop! " Nutriiveda is the first that that on it's own without any nagging or hooking up to electrodes...or actually even therapy at this point since he can on command make all the movements now due to therapy...it's the only difference in this now 14 year old (but 13 when he first started getting all the mouth movements all the time) And most awesome- LAY people -like neighbors and friends who are not professionals are noticing Tanner's sudden change in all the facial expressions he has now. He no longer has a blank stare -and in fact just try to capture him in any photo with such a stare which was so part of Tanner before we called it " classic Tanner " You can see the Tanner blank stare on this page here towards the bottom of the page -my husband holding him. http://www.cherab.org/news/indexnews.html I can't tell you about the tongue as Tanner had years of therapy to help him with that and that wasn't still an issue at 13 when he started nutriiveda -but facial expressions- hands down yes -no question and super obvious surge in that area (WOO HOO!!!!) Anyway be excited and hopeful, be skeptical and doubtful, but try nutriiveda because honestly it doesn't matter if you will believe it will work or not...from what I have seen and what has been reported it's pretty much always working and again to me that just means it's some essential nutrient or nutrients that were missing from our diets before this is helping with. Everyone has got theories about autism and apraxia and seizures and everything else...but the fact is this is helping all of the above and more -and in a few years I am sure we'll know why. But yes I do recommend fish oils with nutriiveda as one is the essential fatty acids and one the essential amino acids. Essential means the body needs it but can't produce it so needs to consume it and most either don't eat healthy enough or their body isn't utilizing what they are getting due to metabolic reasons. This is why whole food supplements are so much better, and pure, and why supporting the metabolic system is so important too. Here is some info on ordering http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=115029735601 & topic=14809 If you have any other questions please let me know! I expect to hear great things from you soon...and how I wish I knew about these two things when my son was your son's age...but I know I wouldn't be here doing what I'm doing if that was the case as Tanner would like the other kids today surge quickly toward normal...so guess that was the plan because someone up there knew I'd stick around no matter what to help others once I saw how hard the road can be without help and awareness! We are here for you! =====
Guest guest
Thanks . 's pediatrician said that using fish oil was not a problem, although she doubted that it would change anything.  I asked her to check out Nutriiveda.  She did and called back and left a message.  Her message said she would be leary of using it since its meant for weight loss and contains lots of herbs that have not been tested on children.  Now, I don't know what to do.  I was ready to buy some and try, but now I am hesitant.  I know my husband will not be on board without the pediatrician's consent.  Have you had this situation present itself before . . . where a pediatrician was not in favor of its use?  Please advise.  I will start on fish oils (Nordic Naturals 3-6-9 Junior liquid) for now and see where that leads. Guest guest
Thanks Liralen.  You have given me hope.  I will be trying the Nordic naturals 3-6-9 Junior liquid.  May I ask what dose you used?  My pediatrician is leery of Nutriiveda . . . says since because its made of so many herbs that haven't been tested on children and is for weight loss, she would be leery of using it.  That was not the response I was expecting.  I so much want to help my son, and from everything I read, Nutriiveda seems to be able to do that. Guest guest
Kim.... I have watched my daughter itch her whole life.... HER WHOLE LIFE. Mostly from ezcema, and constant allergic itch, but most recently from dermalgraphism (the skin writing disease). I have stood by and watched her be MISERABLE... from that, among all of the other issues she has (sensory, motor planning, delayed reflex integration, apraxia, extremely farsighted, allergies, eczema, asthema). Now, I tried NV because I thought it may help her overcome some of the neurological issues, but have received a totally different gift.... NO SCRATCHING. NO RED BLOTCHES ALL OVER HER BODY. It is crazy ..... CRAZY. We have tried food elimination, different meds, everything.... This is no coincidence. I say, if your motherly instinct says give it... get a second opinion. When I have followed my heart with my daughter it has never lead me astray. Meyer [ ] Re: question Thanks Liralen. You have given me hope. I will be trying the Nordic naturals 3-6-9 Junior liquid. Guest guest
The fish oil will change things... you will see. God placed the answer in our bodies and on this earth. How strange that something so small made my daughter talk. Meyer [ ] Re: question <mailto: %40> Date: Monday, July 12, 2010, 12:36 PM My son Tanner fit the same description at your child's age, and he ended up being diagnosed with " oral apraxia " Here's some info on that http://www.cherab.org/information/speechlanguage/oralapraxia.html Here is some info on " soft signs " http://www.cherab.org/information/speechlanguage/parentfriendlysoftsigns ..html and some basic info on apraxia in general http://www.cherabfoundation.org/2006/parent-friendly-signs-of-verbal-apr axia/ Fish oils which contain essential fatty acids has shown remarkable benefits in accelerating speech in our group for over a decade now. Guest guest
I'm just asking here, but why is it that you are asking PERMISSION from the Dr to do something with YOUR child? This is something that is so far from something I understand as a parent. The Dr's are trained in what they are taught at a school and lack experience that parents w/ special needs kids have and see on a day to day basis. This is YOUR child to do research for and it is clear from hundreds of years of usage that fish oils and Omegas are vital to the growth of the human brain. If the dr doesn't know this and doubts the benefits of fish oils, when there are studies upon studies out there proving the necessity of fish oils- honestly, it's time to change drs. That may sound crabby- but it's just honest truth said as gently as I can say it now. You need a ned pediatrician Becky. Guest guest
Right before I approved this I am editing it to say THANK YOU to Bek for words of sanity!!!! ~~~~~~~OK back to the regularly scheduled message Well I wanted to do it anyway but based on your pediatrician's ignorant comment (all the foods in nutriiveda have been used daily and are still used daily as food in India for THOUSANDS of years by all ages...they are foods!!!) I took the initiative to choose 3 of our grandparents who I believe are the strongest advocates and who are the reasons behind their grandchildren surging on nutriiveda (don't be insulted if I didn't choose you if you are reading this -I may have left people out!) and sent them the following email. I'm sending it here because it sums up my frustration with the blatant ignorance that not only is permeating much of the American and other country's public -but this pediatrician who's job it is to provide information that is HEALTHY for children! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Grandparent support blog/group? email I just sent This is your official introduction. All three of you share a similar story of introducing nutriiveda to your children for your grandchild. All three grandchildren have autism, apraxia or both. ____ is thinking of starting a blog -and we clearly need some voices of reason as ____ just had to get through convincing her son in law nutriiveda is healthy. Even after 'his' mother checked it out with a well known doctor (whose had numerous publications) that she works with at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Glaser, whom she respects greatly, and he looked at the ingredients and assured her that the Nutriiveda was nutritiously sound and he saw no reason that Noah couldn't drink it -he still only wants his son on a half dosage. As all three of you know I just posted a new page for serving suggestions and I have a video on this page http://pursuitofresearch.org/serving_suggestions.html for what most feed their children. I just wonder why the average American isn't afraid of what they feed their children that comes in fast food wrappers yet will be fearful of something that not only is healthy, not only is formulated by world renowned doctors...but that doctors that they know (who know about nutrition as well) not only approve but are impressed by. So I'm introducing the three of you in hopes that the grandmas of the world unite to bring sanity to the rest!!! Help!! Besides - thought the three of you can share stories and know there are lots of other grandparents involved too. I only chose the 3 of you to start! I'll leave it up to the three of you if you want to share phone numbers etc. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you start a grandparent support group or blog! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I took out all three grandparents names until we decide how this is going to move forward -and don't know how much each wants to share about their grandchild's family (who in at least 2 of the 3 cases the grandparent had to step in and push really hard as the parent didn't even want to TRY it!!!! I just don't get it...my hands are thrown up in the air and I'm off to the beach! =====
Guest guest
Thank u for such info and manner of delivery. I am an SLP, who works with pre-schoolers and have parents asking daily if I know of any other ways to get speech in addition to therapy. Guest guest
I started my son on the NN 369 jr capsules in the lemon flavor. It was really easy. I told my son that it was lemon candy. And he chewed it right up and swallowed the capsule. I started with one capsule and saw a difference in three days. A HUGE difference. He's now on one adult size NN 369. I was worried about overdosing him, but I've been learning about water vrs. fat soluble vitamins and both NV and fish oils are water soluble--meaning your body flushes out whatever isn't used very quickly. I did not ask his Dr. about NV (not that I recommend that) but I don't really trust her. My son was 26 lbs when I started him on NV and gained 2 lbs in three weeks (which he had gained 2 lb the ENTIRE year before that) and then has gained one more pound in the next three weeks. He's been holding steady for about 6 weeks now. I can tell you from personal experience that NV flushes completely out of your system at roughly the 24 hour mark. Start him on fish oils and then just keep researching NV and the herbs in it and make a decision based on what you find. Dr.s are good, but they are fallible and it really is impossible for a doctor to keep up with all the pharmaceuticals and supplements and diet recommendations. So that becomes our job as well.
