Guest guest
Hi - I was on HC when this was taken (27.5 mg). you mentioned that we need to determine if the low DHEA is from weak adrenals or cortisol suppression. How do I determine that? (just as history, i was taking too much HC for about 4 months but have tapered down to a good level for the past few months) Do you feel I should wait to start the cytomel, or begin that now? Thanks. > > dhea 4.9 (60.9-337.0) > cortisol 12.9 (6.2-19.4)...actually taken in afternoon > > Were you on HC when this was done? If not, thne you shoudl have done saliva cortisol first as this doesn 't indicate a need for HC, but if oyu were on HC thne we really can't tell much by it. You rVERY low DHEA may be from weak adrneals or cortriosl supression, we need ot knwo which. I also think a full iron panle would be good. > > -- >
