Guest guest
hey I'm not doing the high carb for sports thing - that was probably reason I dabbled in vegetarianism back in the day. IIRC high carb diets decrease the bodies ability to oxidize fat, which literally makes you addicted to carbs, particularly for exercise. Like most people on this list I have a fairly high-fat diet. But during extended exercise you can run out of muscle glycogen stores, but you can't run out of fat. So I want something high carb to sip between sets of squash. Also, if anything with a more thorough bio background could comment, what might be a biolological explanation for why us WAP-ers would report needing less water and sweating less? Could it have something to do with how the body burns glycogen compared to oxidizing fat?
