Hi Jen

My sister just had a baby 3 days ago. She is not hypo. But she did have low ferrtin. About 3 weeks before the baby was born it was still only 10. Despite taking the same amount you are. The Doc told her it is the baby taking it and to keep taking the same amount when the baby is born and it would eventually come up.

Got my lab results today; I am shocked at how bad they are as I've been feeling better, except for being tired. But especially my ferritin- I've been taking 200 mg of elemental iron a day, eating red meat daily, and been tolerating my T3 raises to my 100 mcg at present so I was sure it would be up.I would appreciate your comments, Val. baby's need for iron? I'm amazed I can tolerate the T3 and am wondering if I am due for a raise since temps are not quite there and I'm soo tired? Thanks again, in CA

Thanks, Sky! So maybe that is why my ferritin is so pitiful...
