I started on T3 last July. First time on thyroid medicine of any kind. I got

up to 25 mcg every three hours. Never felt rT3 clear. Check my last labs and

realized ferritin was too low. So now I'm on 12.5 mcg 4 times a day until I

get my ferritin level up. Started on herbal iron. I included last year's

results, too. Hopefully it's not too confusing. Here are my labs:

TSH .006 (was 2.028 April/2009)

T4 .8 (was 7.3 4/2009)

T3 Uptake 26 (was 31 4/2009)

Free T4 .2 (was 2.3 4/2009)

rT3 33 (was 348)

ferritin (31 4/2009)

iron saturation (28 4/2009)

iron serum (98 4/2009)

sodium (134 4/2009)

potassium (4.0 4/2009

A1C 5.8 (5.6 4/2009)

C-Reactive Protein, Cardiac 3.10 (3.06 4/2009)

Vitamin D 37.8 (10.4 4/2009)

I did not have an iron panel, or the sodium and potassium tested this time.

I didn't realize the information was important until the other week, after

the blood was drawn. I included the other tests in case it may in some way

be related to thyroid. I'm mostly grain free, which makes the A1C test

result strange. We're not sure about the cardiac inflammation either, but

realize the vit. D levels may be causing the inflammation. I have been on

6,000 IU of vit. D since last year. I'm now on 8,000. We don't really

understand why I have a problem with low vitamin d levels either. I'm always

outside!

Thanks!
