Guest guest
I will leave the discussions up to others, but I did want to add that.... sometimes some of us have RSS children who are in desperate need of weight gain, and FAST!!!! Some may feel that Periactin's remote possibilites of having an ingredient that may be " stressful " to the body is bad, and this is a decision that every parent has to make for their child (just as with GHT). I would like to point out that some of us do not have time on our hands - weight gain is needed immediately, and many have tried lots of things. You can always try Periactin and if it doesn't work (or try it until you figure out other options).... Our daughter gained more than 3 pounds in her first 3 months on Periactin - unfortunately, its ability as an allergy med/antihistamine wasn't as great - as she would still get stuffies. I also want to point out a miracle for us -- except for one rotovirus and one cocksakie virus (spelling) - has not been sick this year, this same year that she finally gained ELEVEN pounds and is in the 25%'tile. No antibiotics for colds, ear infections, strep, or any other bacteria!!!! We have simply been stunned!!!! We had always been told that if she could gain some weight, her health would improve, but boy are we shocked (and happy!) (Prior to her weight gain, she averaged 4-5 colds/ear infections/strep a year). > > > Mimi: > > > Actually, I'm a bit perplexed here, because it was exactly because > > of the > > > doctor's worried percpetion that 's lack of growth might be due > > to milk > > > allergies, that we decided to go with soy-milk when he was an > > infant.
