Guest guest
>>>>From aboutproduce.com http://www.aboutproduce.com/faq/irradiation.html Is this produce labeled differently? In the United States, consumers can easily recognize irradiated products because the FDA requires the international logo for irradiation - the radura (shown) - to be included on the packages of all food that has been irradiated. ****ine, I read recently that the radura label is no longer required by the FDA. I don't recall where though. I'll try to find it. I think the preferred terminology is also being switched from " irradiated " to " pasteurized. " I believe that the new phrase is actually 'electronically pastuerized'. But hopefully it will change the connotations of the word pastuerized!
