Hi Nick and Val!

Well, I've been wondering what caused my crash three weeks ago (am still

crashed).

I wrote here a little while ago that my ferritin and FT4 had suppressed after

starting prednisolon.

At this time my lab results looked like this:

Ferritin 107 (50-290)

FT4 0.46 (0.7-1.8)

FT3 5.38 (2.1-4.2)

(No RT3 taken, unfortunately)

My T3 dosage was 60 mcgs, 40 in the bedtime and 20 in the morning.

With this odd dose splitting I suffered less between 4-8 a.m. from inner

freezing feeling. I took 5-10 mcgs of prednisolon only in the morning.

After starting to feel significantly better I got greedy and I decided to ramp

up T3 from 60 to 100 in three weeks (60 before bed and 40 in the morning).

Everything seemed to go fine and felt even better than before. Taking those big

doses sometimes made me a bit anxious and made my heart bound, but usually not.

Then after being in 100 mcgs for 16 days it happened. I woke up in the morning

and instantly felt those old symptoms: Lack of motivation, low cortisol

symptoms, heart beating 90-100, higher blood pressure. So, I took more

prednisolon, but it didn't help.

Then I happened to have appt for Dr. LHermitte (at Dr. Hertoghe's clinique in

Brussels) and she said I am hyper. RT3-clearance, I thought, finally.

So, I decreased to 60 and stayed on that for 1 week, no help, symptoms stayed.

My BP was like 148/59 and HR 98 (at 6 pm) and 143/79 and HR 89 (at 8 pm).

Also my bodytemperature was around 98 which is 0.6 lower than while better.

Now, I've decreased to 40 (20 before bed and 20 in the morning). My BP is now

like 143/84 and BP down to 76-81. Temp is still around 98. Avgtemps fluctuate

noticeably from day to day. I still feel miserable.

The other change I had to do two weeks before crash was decreasing GH from

0.2->0.15, because running out of it.

So, what do you think happened? RT3-clearance->hyper->adrenal crash?

What should I do? I don't seem to get back on the road by myself.
