Guest guest
Some results: Date: 1/12/2010 (I was taking T4 hormone that time.) TSH 1.10(0.4-2.5) FT4 1.4(0.9-1.8) FT3 2.88(1.8-4.2) rT3 43.7(9-35) Ft3/rT3 ratio is 6.8 Date 1/29/2010: Ferritine 130 (5-200) Date 1/29/2010: Saliva test result: 7am-9am(8.40): 0.55 range: 0.27-1.18 11am-1pm(12.30): 0.35 range: 0.10-0.41 3pm-5pm(4): 0.85 range: 0.05-0.27 10pm-12am(11): 0.06 range: 0.03-0.14 Date 3/24/2010: FT3 14 (3.5-6.5) I am going to take T4,TSH and electrolytes (potassium and sodium) tests on next Monday 3/29. The T3 I am taking is Liothyronin by Nycomed. It is sold in the Nordic countries. I have no idea how potent it is. I have been taking only T3 for seven weeks. I started with 10 mg per day and increased it 10 mg every fourth day, last week the daily dose was 130 mg (split into 5 equal parts through day). I gave blood sample for the FT3 test last Wednesday morning and the latest T3 dose I took before the test was the night before. I got the result FT3 14 (3.5-6.5) last Friday, took 50 mg in that morning and have not taken any since then. An observation: The first two weeks of taking T3 I was feeling each day better and better: I slept better, had no muscular aches and a good muscle pump while exercising, I was hungry, in general I was feeling better than before. After those two weeks during the following two weeks I started feeling little by little more and more depressed (including suicidal thoughts), muscular aches came back and a new kind of dizzyness appeared. I thought that it was due to a lack of T3 and so I increased dose and the dizzyness and the suicide thoughts disappeared. Last two weeks I am sleeping very bad (difficult to fall and stay asleep, sleep is superficial and unquiet), having muscular aches. Some days, like today, I have anxiety, fear and panic and I feel hopeless, all what I want to do is to cry. My heart rate in rest is about 70 bpm today. It was about 80 bpm three days ago when I stopped taking T3. What is the explanation? What kind of dose should I take from now on? Would changing the medicine make any difference? What tests should I take? How should I proceed? Thank you for your support. Pietari
