Guest guest
Hi All, I have very high RT3 -388 (90-350) and my ratio is 8 TSH 1.02 (.4-5) FT3 3.2 (2-3.5) FT4 1.3 (.7-2) I take 61 mcg Synthroid a day (for 9 years). I have no deficiencies, labs are excellent, ferritin at 120, but my adrenals are weak. They go back and forth from high cortisol in am and low in pm, and then a few weeks later they are low in the am and high in the pm. But my 24 hour urine cortisol is mid-normal. Also my DHEA is LOW-normal= 2.9 (2-23) My question is---I have found quite a few people on other thyroid forums who have reduced their high RT3 by just stabilizing their adrenals, fixing deficiencies, and/or adding some natural thyroid with T3 to their Synthroid and/or switching over completely to natural thryoid. But the clincher seems to be stabilizing the adrenals first. Has anyone here had success with this instead of the T3-only? We don't have any doctors here that will support/prescribe T3 only, and I have touchy arrhythmic heart that I'm afraid to try the T3 only with. I really appreciate any advice. Warm thanks, Kate
