Guest guest
Hi , YES, that is the one ERIN had. It is no longer in business anymore. However one similar to it is GS-5 and it is a very good one too. LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV Physical therapy Hi there...i've been a lurker for a couple of years...don't like to stick my nose in too much...my son, , is 27 years old with CF...he was diagnosed at 9 years old and we did go through a lot of heartache as he was growing, particularly with his weight, but he weighs 172 pounds right now...he's in love and planning to be married in October...so, a lot of love and patience and work really made it all worthwhile... what i'm really writing about is that i have noticed a lot of young parents with very little ones have a difficult time with the physical therapy and because they're so small, the vest isn't really helpful right now....we had a Vibrator/Percussor for for years, way before we even heard of the vest, and it helped a great deal...so, i'm thinkin' that you guys should ask your docs to prescribe something like that for the " wee ones " ...it'll save your arms and it doesn't hurt their little bodies.... the name of the one that we had (and still uses it, by the way, along with the vest) is Puritan Bennet Vibrator/Percussor Model 9000...don't know if they are still in existence but you may get something close to it and...your insurance should cover it... Lots of luck and love to you all...hope this helps... maureen (or as i am frequently called.. Guest guest
Hi 's child study team is very interested in learning about what type of physical therapy and general physical issues RSS kids tend to have. A speech therapist observing him during gym class feels that his inability to skip or alternate steps on the stairs is indicative of a bigger issue. She also sees assymetry. Dr. H. has not seen any physical problems or assymetry, so it will be interesting to see what the school professionals observe during their evaluations. Anyway, can anyone sum up for me what type of physical therapy their kids need? I'm sure you guys have talked about it here, but I probably skimmed over those emails because Dr. H. didn't think needed it. Maybe now he does. , are there any articles pertaning to long term physical issues RSS kids face? THANKS! Katy
