Depends on how it is cooked -- al dente measures lower on the GI than brown

rice and wheat bread. GI doesn't give much information about whether a food

is nutritious -- fructose is fairly low on the GI -- but it's still an

anti-nutrient by itself. As part of a nutritious piece of fruit it's at least

accompanied by a vitamins, mineral and phytochemicals, etc.
