Hello,

I was referred to this group by a moderator at STTM because

of my recent labs. A little history – 52 y.o. woman, mild

hypertension (on beta blocker), high cholesterol, and pre-diabetic (HA1c 5.9),

still menstruating dx’d hypo in Dec. 09, TSH of 6.18, FT3 81 (83-200),

FT4 1.09 (.82-1.77). Started on 30 mg. of USP compounded

thyroid. 6 wks later labs were : TSH .977, FT3- 103 (71-180),

FT4 – 1.15 (.82-1.77). Was feeling okay, but not optimal so endo

tweaked dosage to alternating doses of 30 mg one day and 60 mg the next and so

on. Just about the time of the next labs, started having trouble falling

asleep and then full out hyper like attack last night – felt like body

was racing 200 mph, but I was tired at the same time and cold. This went

on a few hours. Labs show TSH of .12 (.45-4.5), FT4 of 1.82 (.82-1.77)

and FT3 of 123 (71-180). Endo said to stop meds for a few days to let FT4

go down and then start again on 30 mgs only – then we’d see labs in

another 6 wks and see how I was feeling.

So, what do you think? Do you think I have an RT3

problem? Oh, and I am supplementing D3 and ferritin – levels are D3

– 32.3 (32-100) and ferritin – 23 (10-291). B12 was way over

at 1168 – so I am cutting down on those.

Apreciate your thoughts,

Liz R
