Guest guest
Usually treating the adrenal problems first is recommended. Until they are improved, you may not be able to tolerate T3. http://thyroid-rt3.com/adrenals.htm and http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/how-to-treat/ Your low ferritin may also hamper your progress on T3. With low ferritin you may not be able to tolerate increases as much/as often/at all. Once you get your ferritin to 50 you may be able to start " low and slow " on the T3 while you continue to raise your ferritin. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ferritin/ YES - oral iron can worsen gastritis. I've seen it recommended, for best absorption, to take iron and Vit C on an empty stomach - I could NEVER do that, my gastritis would go nuts. I have to take my iron + Vit C with food, that's solved the gastritis problem. Starting on a low dose of iron then increasing over a few weeks helps with digestive issues, too. I suggest reading Nick's website from end-to-end, the info there will be a huge help on this journey. http://thyroid-rt3.com/ > > My ferritn is 30, and had got some elemental iron and waiting for it to arrive. I have gastritis, and am worried about the stomach issues iron may give. My stomach is very sensitive especially with the gastritis. What does a person do if they can't tolerate iron? Also, could I treat the adrenal probelms, and RT3 problem the same time?? > > Thanks, Liz >
