Guest guest
I've seen some discussion on this list that indicates that if you use the Celtic sea salt you're getting the trace minerals that you would get using azomite as a supplement? True or not? ~ Carma ~ To be perpetually talking sense runs out the mind, as perpetually ploughing and taking crops runs out the land. The mind must be manured, and nonsense is very good for the purpose. ~ Boswell Carma's Corner: http://www.users.qwest.net/~carmapaden/

True or not? Azomite is from an ancient (now-inland) seabed. The only difference would seem to be the age of each - the salt is from the present-day ocean. Except - the Azomite contains the bodies of ancient sea animals (microscopic) and sea plants that eventually made their way to the sea floor to be compacted over millennia. If you go to the Azomite site (Azomite.com) they have a list of major and trace elements. It should be noted that Azomite is sold for the purpose of application to soil for agricultural purposes. It is referred to as " rock dust " . Plants grown on such soil would be full of the major and trace elements from the Azomite. Eating those plants would provide a better nutrition than if the Azomite had not been used. General wisdom for people seeking better nutrition would be that the elements in the food would be better-assimilated in the body than if the Azomite was taken orally. It has to do with organic versus inorganic forms of the elements. -=mark=-
