Hi Everyone!

Thanks to all who responded to my request for Halloween treat idea for my 9

year old son. Now I have an idea to give to all of you!

I decided that candy wasn't the route to take with my son since he is also

allergic to corn syrup and even the gfcf candy often contains that. So, I

went to a local party store and picked out all different kinds of party

favors...little whistles, bubble soap, pencils, etc.

They had all kinds of stuff! My son never much cared for candy anyway. He

just loves the idea that people drop something in his little plastic punkin.

But, I know he will really love all the little favors I bought!

And, the best part is, I gave my four year old daughter a choice...candy, or

favors like her brother will get. She chose the favors! No cavities this

year!

Now I just have to decide how we will distribute all the little treasures I

bought!

Also, I made some really awsome cupcakes last night. Here is what I did...

Get Pamela's Ultra Rich Brownie mix from your local health food store and

follow the chocolate cake recipe. Spoon the cake batter into cup cake

baking cups and bake about 15 - 20 minutes. Cool, then frost with following

recipe:

Powdered Sugar (About 2 c.)

Soy Margarine (3/4 stick)

Soy Milk (add gradually until consistency is right)

Vanilla (optional...gfcf of course!)

Cinnamon (to taste)

Mix all ingred. together with mixer until smooth.

That's it. So easy, and the best cupcakes I think I have ever had. An easy

rival for regular cupcakes!

Kim
