Guest guest
Sunscreens - Check out the personal products listed at www.gfcfdiet.com. As I recall, Banana Boat & Key sunscreens are gfcf, Coppertaone is not. Aslo, do a search for past posts on sunscreens as many kids reacted to other additives in them. Bandaids - Heaps of folks are allergic to latex - that MAY be the problem your child encountered. There are past posts on that topic, including problems at the dentist's office b/c of the gloves used. Waterpark, swimming pools - Lots of our kids become hyperactive from the heavy chemical load in the water. Be sure to shower well immediately upon leaving pool (not that the shower is much better....) Laundry detergent - also a regular topic, see past posts. Many moms use the low allergen, dye-free detergents. HFS also have substitutes. There was a great post about 2 months ago on a homemade fabric rinse with vinager. Concern has been expressed about mercury in fabric softeners, but I haven't seen confirmation of it yet. ....and I was wondering what sunscreens and chapsticks would be gfcf? Also, is there a detergent that most of you use...? Laurie > My daughter was given a bandaid for a small cut at school, and > proceeded to behave as though on a gluten I.V. drip! ....does anyone know if > there is gluten in bandaids, and if so are there any brands that are > o.k.? Maybe her reaction was from something else .... ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=
