Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am new to the group. My mother and grandmother where both diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. My grandma's came back and my mothers didn't. My problem that I am trying to handle is dealing with my mom's side effects. Before she was diagnosed with cancer she found out she was diabetic. So she is dealing with the side effects of chemo and the side effects of the diabete's. She now suffers from neuropothy in her feet. She is over weight and does not exercise. She claims that she get's exercise at work. She is a occupational therapist at a nursing home. I get so frustrated that everytime I mention exercise to my mom she gives me and i hate saying this word, excuses as to why she can't do exercise. When she was going through chemo I just gave birth to first child. I guess that I feel horrible for getting so mad at my mom for not trying or making the steps needed to lose some of the weight. I am so close with my mother. She is like my best friend. Any advise? How long does the side effects of chemo last it has been nearly two years. What can I do to get her motivated? Should I feel so bad for getting mad ad her? How do I say something to her?
