Guest guest
Has anyone tried a showerhead filter? I live in an apartment so I can't use any point-of-entry/whole house water filters or do anything otherwise permanent to my apartment, but I've seen shower heads with built-in filters. Does anyone know if this even actually filters enough of the chemicals and impurities out to be worth it? They're not expensive, which is great for me, but sometimes makes me wonder if it works. Louisville, KY is supposed to have some of the cleanest water in the nation, but what's clean enough for your belly doesn't necessarily mean clean enough for the ailing girl parts...Advice?? At the moment I have this horrible burning, raw rash around my anal area and a couple of bumps on the vulva and while showering, even with natural mild soap (and never even on those areas) and shampoo, I still itch after a shower and since this is acting up again it's even worse. Thanks!
Guest guest
, I have the same burning itchy issue around my anus too. I'm somewhat relieved to hear that I'm not alone. I used to get these external anal 'flares' several times a season but now I get them all the time. My PT says it is not related to my vuvladynia or PFD condition. My PT reccomends that I see a dermetologist for this issue. WHen I showed it to my primary care physician, she gave me a topical ointment which has helped a great deal to treat the symptoms but not the problem. Has your issue been diagnosed? Did you learn that it must be the water in your shower? --emily __________________________________________________
