Hello,

I'm so glad that I found this group! Well, I guess I'll start from

the beginning. About 11 months ago an insect bit me in the right

forearm, and my arm became swollen around the bite mark. I went to

my Primary Doc and he thought it might be Lyme Disease and prescribed

the necessary tests and meds. The tests were negative and I took the

antibiotics that were prescribed, but then came the itching. It

started around my arm pits at first and then around my stomach and

chest. I went back to my Doc and he thought that it might be Scabies

(He put on these rather odd looking sun glasses to look at the

infected area) and prescribed a lotion that I took, but it didn't

help. Then came Clariton, no help (Sound familiar) He then had me see

a Dermatoligist who did a Biopsy and prescribed Allegra 180 (No help)

She then prescribed Allegra and Zyrtec (No help) then she gave me 40m

of Predisone and the itching (hives) cleared up in two days. I came

off the Predisone and the hives returned, she then sent me to an

Allergist. He prescribed Doxepin and Allegra along with Zantec twice

a day. All the Doxepin did for me was to give me read bad nightmares!

He then put me back on Predesone for 10 days to clear me up and then

had me on a Zyrtec/Zantac combination, but still no success. Then he

just gave up and told his nurse to tell me to " Have him just take

Benendryl at nite and hope for the best " I'm at the end of my rope

it seems, the hives now are all over my body, and their now starting

to cover my face.

Sorry for the long rant, but Here I am! Can anyone help me?

Your friend and member,

Dan
