I wanted to give ya'll an update. Here were my horrible iron labs from a couple

months ago:

02.22.10 Iron - 28 L (range 35 - 155)

02.22.10 Iron Saturation (SAT) - 16 (range 15 - 55)

02.22.10 Iron TIBC - 175 L (range 250 - 450)

02.22.10 Iron UIBC - 147 L (range 150 - 375)

And here are my results from yesterday!

04.27.10 Iron - 144 (range 35 - 155)

04.27.10 Iron Saturation (SAT) - 49 (range 15 - 55)

04.27.10 Iron TIBC - 293 (range 250 - 450)

04.27.10 Iron UIBC - 149 L (range 150 - 375)

If any of you are curious as to how I did it, this has been my iron regimen for

the past 2 months:

Breakfast - Devil's Claw 500mg, Vitamin C 2,000mg

1 hr later - Lactoferrin 100mg, Energizing Iron Liver Extract 1,100mg (25mg

elemental heme iron I think)

Lunch - L-Histidine 500mg, Vitamin C 2,000mg

1 hr later - Lactoferrin 100mg, Chelated Iron Bisglycinate 25mg, Ferrous

Gluconate 27mg

Dinner - Vitamin C 2,000mg

Bedtime - L-Lysine 500mg, Ferrous Fumarate (from blackstrap molasses) 29mg,

Ferrous Sulfate 65mg, Vitamin C 2,000mg

I didn't bother testing ferritin, as I still have back issues that my chiro is

working on so I knew the inflammation would throw off the results.

Any idea how much iron I should continue taking to maintain these levels? Since

it shouldn't interfere with me raising Cynomel anymore, I'm going to try going

up on it again. My temps still aren't where they should be. Wish me luck with

that!

I also tested electrolytes and they're not great:

04.27.10 Sodium - 138 (range 135 - 145)

04.27.10 Potassium - 3.7 (range 3.5 - 5.2)

I'm not worried about the sodium - it never gets much higher than that. But the

potassium has gone down from a previous level of 4.0 on the same dose, so I'll

go ahead and add back in that second dose of magnesium that I cut out a couple

months back. Obviously it was helping me hold onto the potassium.
