hello to you all !

I'll try and be concise ...

After 3 years on Armour - then NatureThyroid - I switched a few months ago to

Synthetics ... I'm really having trouble balancing myself ... and have come here

thinking that maybe I just need T3 meds only ? So any advice appreciated.

I was orginally put on meds in the UK - by a wonderful Dr S in Birmingham - as

my TSH was never out of range - it was at the high end - he was treating me by

symptoms ... But I was never 'balanced' on NT.... just better than I ever was

without it....

Last year I did take HC for 3 months and that helped a lot too ... but still

never felt 100%. My TSH is always so low it's almost non existent.

Here is what I was taking and the blood results - I'm wondering where to go from

here ? Do I ditch the Thyroxine altogether and just take the Tertroxine ?

The doc supervising me here in Sydney is away for a few weeks - so can't see him

to ask - although he's been happy to prescribe the T4/T3 combo - so I can't see

him minding ? But I'm not sure he even totally gets it as when my Reverse T3

came back so high - he just lowered the T3 not the T4 !

I've been taking 50mcg thyroxine 2 times a day and 20 mcg Tertroxine 2 times a

day. My bloods came back as:

Reverse T3: 521 Range: 140-540

TSH: 0.005 Range: .40-3.50

Free T4: 13.7 Range: 9-19

Free T3: 6 Range: 2.6-6

Thanking you in advance with warm regards - Mel in Sydney Australia
