Guest guest
Welcome, ; none of us really knows the past family history of cf as they have only been scientifically able to determine it with about 90% accuracy since about 1993, and lor knows how many carriers have been floating around passing on carriers, etc. This is, as Barbara Palys of IACFA, says, a very old gene with close to 900 alleles, and has been being passed around for a very long time. Heaven knows how many families have hundreds of carriers--even those who marry--but just luckily do not produce a child with cf, or a KNOWN child or person with cf. You are not alone, as you will find out on this list. There is so much support for you, Blake--the whole family from so many of us as this list grows logarithmicly! Love from our house to yours to all of you, n Rojas, 62, and far from the real oldies, mom of three adults, one of whom has cf and just turned 35, leading pretty normal life after rough start!
