Guest guest
I've just read on the RT3 website that iron affects absorption of T3, so T3 should be taken one hour before iron or 4 hours after iron. I'm about to start on Cytomel, which will need dosing several times a day. My ferritin is very low, so I also need take iron several times a day--my digestion can't tolerate taking it all at once. A typical schedule on the RT3 website shows dosing T3 every 3 hours. In that case, it would be impossible to take iron 4 hours apart from T3, since I need several doses of both. The same is true for calcium. The website says to take T3 one hour before calcium or 3 hours after it. I have osteoporosis and must take 1500 mg calcium a day, in 3 divided doses. And calcium must also be taken apart from iron. How on earth can I juggle all these requirements and still get enough of the these various things I need? Can anyone advise on this? Thanks so much for any help--this has me stumped. Peggy
